My ministry has ended and I am now working full time. Time spent at youth group remains just nostalgic memories. Maybe I think I already have enough knowledge. I do not have a place to serve anymore. I am already full of information plus have no place to relax.
Jesus, however, came to give us a life lived to the fullest and KPM extra 25 + reminded us of that this year.
We went INTO THE DEPTHS(which happened to be the theme of the conference) on the first night. A cozy autumn atmosphere and Dave Patty’s talk from the letter to the Colossians accompanied us through the first evening. He revealed to us a mystery that removed our poor ideas of God’s vision for our lives. “And this mystery is Christ living in you.” Colossians 1, 27. We were challenged to replace, with truth, the stagnation in our lives and the walking in circles. Christ is in us and we are in Christ. How does that change our lives?
We did not just focus on our spiritual sides which the Lord created, but we also relaxed both physically and mentally. We played mini golf, walked in the woods, visited a museum or just relaxed in the wellness spa. After nourishing ourselves physically we attended a wide range of seminars on topics such as purity, endurance, generosity, color, comparison and prayer. Some people chose to spend personal time with a mentor. We heard testimonies of a teacher, a doctor, a beekeeper and a personal trainer. All of these people are followers of Christ who are making disciples and also giving, serving and being a light in their professions.
On Sunday morning we finished with a lesson from the Colossians 3. Dave Patty explained how to put the following passage into practice,” When Christ, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory. So put to death the parts of your life that belong to the earth, such as sexual immorality, moral corruption, lust, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry). ” Our old nature will never be convinced and we must kill it by repentance. We do not have to be afraid to admit our sin because Christ is in us and we are in Him.
At KPM extra 25 + close to 170 people age 25 and older heard God’s vision for their lives. Hear are some of their words about the weekend and its impact:
“We have enjoyed a wonderful weekend thanks to you and the whole team who cared for us with love and sacrifice. We are home full of impressions and new challenges in personal growth. “
“The time at the conference was a great blessing for me personally. A great choice of the main speaker, the seminars were excellently balanced – for both reflection and also for relaxation. Good time during worship.
The program was not “overwhelming” and there was time to talk, relax, walk and even do some sports. You have chosen a beautiful place plus the accommodation was also excellent. “
We pray for each person who came to the conference, that they would let the words “Christ in me” and “I in Christ” sink deep into their hearts and minds. We pray that this truth will be transferred into reality, their daily lives. Praise Jesus that for some this is just the beginning!
