Lord, it is good for us to be here!

…thought around 670 youth leaders during the main sessions, seminars, conversations in the café, devotion time in the chapel and when they sang praise to God together.

This year, KPM’s (Conference for Youth Leaders) topic Face to Face made us face the truth of our living in a spiritual battle right from the beginning. We stand face to face discerning between the truth and a lies, fake imitations of life and the true life. The youth leaders left from the 27th KPM wearing the belt of truth around their waists, wearing the breastplate of righteousness and lifting the shield of faith.

“At KPM I got to understand that we are in a battle but the Victor is on our side. ”

Missionaries Dave Patty (CZ), Dan Hash (PL), Janči Máhrik, Majo Cabadaj, Richard Nagypal and Katarína Pončáková (SVK) delivered the words of teaching at the main sessions. Together they helped us orientate ourselves in the midst of the battle that surrounds us. We know that the best orientation point is grace. We know that Jesus took our condemnation upon Himself and by His death and resurrection He defends us. We were also able to benefit from additional theological and practical teaching we got at the seminars on ministry, repentance, purity, vulnerability and unity.
In worship, we were led by bands from different cities and countries and for the first time in our history, on Friday evening by ESPÉ and on Saturday evening by a Polish band that led us in international English-Polish-Slovak worship.

“KPM meant difficult, but at the same time wonderful moments - revealing the truth, that did not harm, but brought us closer.”

The KPM participants were encouraged to spend time with Jesus. They could have done so during their personal devotions, which could take place in the silence of the chapel, which KPM volunteers prepare every year, or during the time that was set apart just for that on Saturday afternoon.
KPM moved the support of the projects with similar vision a level further this year –KPM EXPO was an opportunity for different organizations and projects that had signed up beforehand to present their brand. We were also glad to support several new books that encourage Christian growth in faith, ministry and character.

We learned that God wants to take care of our spirit, soul and body. It was KPM café (KaFéM) that provided refreshment for our bodies. Besides that, it provided the space for the origins of new friendships, for encouragements in ministry, and especially, for realizing one does not stand alone in the area of ministry. If the participants wanted to be cared for on a deeper level, emotionally or spiritually, they had the opportunity to talk with a mentor – ideally sharing good coffee, questions and answers.

Lord, it was good for us to be here!

As the Lord Jesus descended from the mount of transformation, after KPM we will gladly descend, following Him: transformed, full of new strength, ready to go where He leads.
We, the KPM and TCK teams, will continue praying for Slovakia, for its young servants, for standing up face to face in this spiritual battle, knowing the LORD is fighting for us.
